STEAM Lab: Design Your Own Board Game is a program in which teens plan a game, research game mechanics, design their play area and pieces, and figure out how to play-test their creation. It is put on by Queens Public Library at its Sunnyside location. The program reflects a revival of board games fueled by a shift from luck and conflict to strategy and cooperation. Craft materials and makerspace tools such as 3Doodler Pens and the Cricut Machine are provided, and no prior experience is required.
