Buena Vista Social Club tribute at the Blue Note brunch.

A tribute show celebrating the music of Cuba's golden age, performed as part of the Blue Note's brunch series presented by WBGO. Francois Wiss, Bryan Vargas, and Jose Ramon Rosario play their own renditions of hits by the Buena Vista Social Club's legends, including beloved classics of Ibrahim Ferrer, Eliades Ochoa, Ruben Gonzales, and Compay Segundo, plus hidden gems from the repertoire. Their versions blend flamenco and World music accents with the timeless tunes, leaving room for improvisation and guest performers. The three musicians bring backgrounds in jazz, Latin and global music, having worked with a wide range of artists in New York and beyond.
