Salsa Meets Jazz is a vibrant bi-monthly series led by bassist Carlos Henriquez that celebrates the connection between Latin music and jazz, bringing big rhythms, spontaneous solos, and the energy of a classic New York jam session to the stage. This performance honors the legacy of the late Eddie Palmieri, "The Sun of Latin Music," whose groundbreaking music revolutionized salsa and Latin jazz. A powerhouse lineup is led by Bobby Allende on bongos and music direction, featuring Ruben Rodriguez on bass, Alex Pastrana on piano, Joseph Gonzalez and Willie Torres on vocals, Manuel Ruiz and Nathaniel Williford on trumpet, Jimmy Bosch and Xito Lovell on trombone, Carlos Padron on timbales, and Ito Arguinzoni on congas.
