Ein Sommer-nachtstraum

«Ein Sommer-nachtstraum» is a ballet based on William Shakespeare's comedy «A Midsummer Night’s Dream», set on an abandoned, run-down fairground. Ballet director Cathy Marston and designer Richard Hudson tell a story of love and transformation, of the paths and wrong paths of Eros, with confusions and comical scenes. The music combines Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy with Gabriel Prokofiev's «Concerto for Turntables and Orchestra Nr. 1». Robert Houssart conducts the Orchestra of the Zurich Opera, supported by the British DJ Mr. Switch.
