Ein Sommernachtstraum

«Ein Sommernachtstraum» is a ballet at the Zurich Opera House. Choreography and staging are by ballet director Cathy Marston, with Robert Houssart conducting. Based on William Shakespeare's comedy, it tells a story of love and transformation in which the paths and wrong turns of Eros lead to mix-ups, misunderstandings and hilarious scenes. Set to music by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Gabriel Prokofiev, played by the Philharmonia of the Zurich Opera with DJ Mr Switch, the piece takes place on an abandoned fairground.
