Miles oder die Pendeluhr aus Montreux
Theater Rigiblick, Germaniastrasse 99, Kreis 6
About
«Miles oder die Pendeluhr aus Montreux» is a theatre piece based on a story by Henning Mankell, paying tribute to the jazz genius Miles Davis, a man who suffered from loneliness and prejudice. In the role of a scrap dealer, Daniel Rohr tells of the beauty of Juliette Gréco, of Swiss clocks, of favourite chords and the loss of a loved one, placing friendship between an ordinary man and a great music genius at its centre. The musical motif is «Sketches of Spain», performed by the Zurich Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Ed Partyka. The piece lasts 65 minutes, translated and directed by Hansjörg Betschart and produced by the Stern-Theater-Produktion.
