THE WATER COLUMN – Allison Zurfluh
Galerie am Lindenhof
About
THE WATER COLUMN is an exhibition of oil paintings at Galerie am Lindenhof in Zürich. The Swiss artist Allison Zurfluh, raised in California and now based in the Venetian Lagoon, paints there in darker, earthy tones. Rather than depicting the landscape, her paintings evoke its underlying structures: sedimentation, tidal movement and the relationship between surface and depth. The water column serves her as a model of the self, shaped by accumulated experience.
