Warum Weltraum?
ETH Zürich, Sonneggstrasse 5, 8006 Zürich, Rieden
About
A talk about space travel and robotics with university students. Vala Shkreli, co-founder and co-president of the student association CRATER, talks about how her rover, founded in 2025, made it to the European Rover Challenge and took first place in Autonomous Navigation there. The talk asks why space is a good place for big ideas and how to coordinate more than 70 volunteer students. Prof. Thomas Zurbuchen, astrophysicist and former NASA science director, opens with a greeting, and the rover can be seen in the exhibition area.
