About
"Brücke / Natur Natur / Brücke" is an event at the Brücke-Museum devoted to how the Brücke artists approached nature in their work. At the start of the twentieth century, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Max Pechstein, Karl Schmidt-Rottluff and Erich Heckel left the cities behind to live and paint outdoors. Their paintings, drawings, prints and watercolours celebrate the landscape.
