About
“Dschingis Khan: Deine (geheime) Geschichte” is a three-day workshop for young people aged 13 and up at Haus Bastian – Zentrum für Kulturelle Bildung. In the special exhibition “Dschingis Khan und die Welt der Mongolen”, participants search for traces of the story of Temüdschin, who rose from the Mongolian steppe to become the most powerful ruler of the medieval world. Archaeological objects tell of destruction, survival in the steppe and the exchange of goods and ideas in an empire stretching from the Chinese Sea to the Black Sea. Afterwards, participants become storytellers themselves, creating their own “secret story” as a short stop-motion film with the Wunderbox, a creative tool combining analogue materials with digital techniques.
