A photography exhibition on one hundred years of press photography in Berlin, showing the interplay of journalism, images and urban life. It is presented by the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin at the Stabi Kulturwerk, curated by Miriam Zlobinski. It features historical photographs from the bpk Fotoarchiv, newspapers from the library's newspaper collection, and contemporary works by photographers of the renowned agency OSTKREUZ. From the 1920s to the present, it traces how press photography has shaped perceptions of Berlin and the rhythm of the news, from freedom of the press in the Weimar Republic to the divided press landscapes of East and West Berlin.
