About
"Jazz in der Alten Feuerwache I Rasgueo" is a concert followed by a jam session. Performing is the Berlin band Rasgueo, a quartet founded in 2012 around bandleader Nikos Tsiachris on flamenco guitar, with Patricio Böttcher on saxophone and flute, Martin Lillich on bass and Cristian Betancourt on percussion. The band combines the emotional depth of flamenco with the improvisational spirit of jazz as well as influences from world music, Latin and folk, with the interplay of guitar and saxophone at the forefront. Their current album "Eleven", with unusual time signatures and pieces ranging between flamenco, jazz and world music, is also central.
