About

A film programme of four short films from places at war or caught between wars, followed by a talk with the filmmakers. It presents works by Ghinwa Yassine, Nay Tabbara, Fadi Syriani and Sina Khanahmadi. Rather than the politics behind the wars, it is concerned with the psychological and temporal states that armed conflicts create, marked by repetition, delay, uncertainty and a lingering sense of suspension. The programme does not seek to offer direct explanations, but keeps uncertainty alive as an open question.
