About
"Nacht auf der Sternwarte" is a live-moderated night of sky observation with the Cassegrain reflecting telescope at Germany's largest and oldest public observatory. Experts answer questions about planets, the Moon and deep-sky objects such as stars, nebulae and galaxies, as well as about the technology and history of the instruments. In bad weather, an alternative programme with an artificial starry sky is offered. The event partly takes place in unheated rooms or outdoors, so warm clothing is recommended.
