About
„Sternenkieker“ is a sky-watching event for children aged 8 and up at the Wilhelm-Foerster Observatory. Together, participants use a telescope to search for stars, star clusters, nebulae and galaxies. When the weather is clear, the moon and various planets are observed, and the children learn hands-on how to operate a telescope. If the weather is bad, the group meets in the small lecture hall for exciting insights into astronomy; warm clothing is recommended, as the event partly takes place outdoors.
