Nicht ohne meine Tiere

The documentary film „Nicht ohne meine Tiere“ is being shown, followed by a film talk. The film by Volker Meyer-Dabisch and Michael Christian Schulze follows four people who have overcome their drug addiction and speak openly about the heavy losses and daily inner struggles they have been through. In their darkest moments it was often their animals that gave them new support and kept them from giving up on themselves or relapsing. Expert assessments complement the moving stories with empathy and explain the special influence of animals on the mental health and resilience of those affected; the film team and some protagonists will be present.
