About
"Pankow als Motiv. Max Skladanowsky – Filmpionier und Fotograf" is an exhibition at Museum Pankow. The museum restages the show, which is devoted to the lesser-known photographic work of the famous cinema pioneer Max Skladanowsky (1863–1939). The photographs from the first two decades of the twentieth century capture his immediate surroundings in Pankow and Niederschönhausen: wintry streets and parks, the leisure time of young and old, and the district's transformation into a city. They offer rare views and insights into life at the time.
