PERREO ENTRE LOS MUNDOS is a dance performance that examines reggaetón as a cultural force, traces its origins and its resonance on racialized bodies, and questions the power structures that have shaped its development. As a duet between human flesh and a silicone form, the performance oscillates between pleasure, distortion and transformation, dismantling colonial binaries by transforming a drag king persona into a multifaceted, fluid figure. Behind it stands Auro Orso, a dancer and choreographer of Mexican-Austrian descent whose artistic research explores decolonizing practices and challenges Western binaries. The piece is part of the Emerging Change dance festival, which celebrates the work of queer, trans, Black, indigenous and BIPoC dance artists and is devoted to the tension between survival and pleasure.
