About
A talk on embodied knowledge, a situated living practice that emerges through movement, ritual and sensory experience and is carried on through bodies, places and encounters. It brings together Laura Campaz, Jenny M. Díaz Muñoz, Julieth Morales and Maque Pereyra. Campaz combines archival work, digital technologies and speculative imagination from an Afro-Colombian perspective, while Morales, as a Misak artist, reinterprets bodily and ritual practices and questions colonial influences and gender roles. Díaz Muñoz connects art, politics and historical memory through collaborative research and creation, and Pereyra opens pathways to embodied knowledge through pleasure, sensuality and spirituality via music, movement and her practice Yoggaton. In dialogue they ask how artistic and curatorial practice transforms inherited forms of knowledge, with works by the artists presented in the space.
