About
SCHERBEN is a performance by Christopher-Felix Hahn at the Exilmuseum on Fasanenstraße, performed in German and lasting about one hour. At its center is a vase that Hahn's grandmother leaves him when she moves into a nursing home – supposedly a find from the forest, lost by refugees in 1945. Questions reveal a different story: the vase comes from the house of the Jewish neighbor Curt Courant, one of the best-known cinematographers of the Weimar Republic, who had to flee into exile from the Nazis.
