Selbstbehauptung und Widerstand von queeren Menschen im Nationalsozialismus
Gedenkstätte Deutscher Widerstand, Stauffenbergstraße 13-14, Tiergarten
About
An evening of talks and discussion on self-assertion and resistance by queer people under National Socialism. Prof. Dr. Martin Lücke speaks on the persecution and resistance of homosexual men, and Dr. Claudia Schoppmann on the living conditions and forms of defense of lesbian women, moderated by staff of the Gedenkstätte Deutscher Widerstand. Around 10,000 homosexual men were sent to concentration camps, lesbian women were interned even without a legal basis, and there was diverse resistance, for example in oppositional groups or through marriages of convenience. The occasion is the extension of the memorial's permanent exhibition with this new area; registration by 4 November is requested.
