About
The exhibition „… wir haben uns widersetzt, wie wir nur konnten.“ looks at resistance inside the Ravensbrück women's concentration camp. It is presented by the German Resistance Memorial Center together with the Ravensbrück Memorial. Its focus is on the lives and resistance acts of sixteen women held at Ravensbrück, who used whatever room for action they had despite the threat of death, starvation and constant surveillance. That resistance ranged from keeping religious rituals and shared cultural activity to sabotaging forced labour in the armaments industry, refusing orders and smuggling out documents to bear witness to SS crimes.
