L*Ost : Lesben in der Provinz“ – damals und heute Vortrag von Judith Geffert und Zeitzeug*innengespräch, Ort: EWA e.V. – Frauenzentrum Prenzlauer Allee 6 10405 Berlin
Sonntags-Club, Greifenhagener Straße 28, 10437 Berlin, Prenzlauer Berg
About
A talk by Judith Geffert with a conversation featuring contemporary witnesses about the lives of lesbians in the East German provinces. In 1989, Christiane Kloweit and Ina Röder Sissoko interviewed lesbians living in small towns and presented these conversations at the first GDR lesbian conference, „Lesben im Umfeld der Kirche“, in Halle. Geffert has researched this conference and will talk with contemporary witnesses about the events of that time and their significance in the transformation process of 1989. She will also connect them to the situation of lesbians living outside big cities today; the event takes place at the women's centre EWA e.V.
