Somatic Circuits: installation on how bodies communicate.
About
Somatic Circuits is an interactive art-science installation that transforms research on bioelectronic implants into a collective sensory experience. Inspired by bioelectronic technologies, it invites visitors to explore how bodies can communicate through breath, sound, touch, and sensation. Behind the work are artist Marlot Meyer, the Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration (Fraunhofer IZM), and the gallery Art Claims Impulse. Participants wear inflatable, neuron-inspired forms that emit ultrasound and respond to sound, forming a living neural network.
