About
This public Sunday guided tour at the Botanischer Garten is all about nasty plants: cheating, stealing, poisoning and setting fires – some species have developed astonishing strategies to gain an evolutionary advantage in the supposedly peaceful plant kingdom. Guide Matthias Wilkens leads a walk through the outdoor grounds, or through the greenhouses in rain or cold, where seasonal highlights can be discovered. The tour lasts 90 minutes and is aimed at adults, families and children from about 10 years, with a maximum of 20 participants and registration required. The meeting point is the visitor centre at the Königin-Luise-Platz entrance.
