This public Sunday tour focuses on the pointed strategies of plants: thorns, spines and barbs and the surprising stories behind them. Beate Senska leads the tour, which is part of the Berlin Science Week 2026 programme. It is a walk through the outdoor grounds of the Botanical Garden, or through the greenhouses in rain, lasting 90 minutes. The meeting point is the visitor centre at the Königin-Luise-Platz entrance, and registration is required.
