About
"Staging the Past" is an open conference on living history and museum theatre, also accessible to anyone interested beyond the field. It is jointly organised by EXARC, an international network for archaeological open-air museums and experimental archaeology, and the team of the Museumsdorf Düppel of the Stiftung Stadtmuseum Berlin. The focus lies on the opportunities and challenges of presenting the past through living history and museum theatre, and on how authenticity, interpretation and practical conditions of experimental archaeology and museum work can be reconciled. The conference is held in English, and online participation is free of charge.
