About

I Can't Complain is a solo exhibition by New York-based artist Autumn Knight, her first major presentation in the UK, combining a new commission with recent work. Knight's practice draws on theatre, psychology, improvisation and social exchange, and the exhibition centres on the act of complaining: its pleasures, frustrations and political potential. The Lower Galleries hold an audio and spatial installation with a canopy of balloons and a sound installation built from recorded conversations about everyday irritations, alongside recent video works. New performance work, including solos by Knight and collaborations with Samra Mayanja and with Michelangelo Miccolis and nick von kleist, punctuates the exhibition's run.
