About

A double bill of films from the London Palestine Film Festival 2026, screening at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, followed by a screen talk. The session brings together Partition, directed by Diana Allan, and The Flowers Stand Silently, Witnessing, directed by Theo Panagopoulos. Partition weaves found footage from the British occupation of Palestine together with audio recorded with Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, recentering Palestinian voices and tracing continuities between the colonial past and the unstable present. The Flowers Stand Silently, Witnessing follows a Palestinian filmmaker based in Scotland who unearths a rarely-seen Scottish film archive of Palestinian wild flowers and decides to reclaim the footage, questioning image-making as a tool of both testimony and violence.
