About

Imago: July Guzman / Sol Summers is a two-artist exhibition of new landscape paintings on view at Albertz Benda. July Guzman paints seascapes near Bolinas, California, letting atmosphere determine each work's form, while Sol Summers draws on landscapes of the American West, using light, color, and composition to make familiar terrain strange. Seen together, the two bodies of work explore how atmosphere, memory, and learned habits of seeing shape what a view reveals or hides.
