"Fast Forward" is a solo exhibition of works by artist Stephanie Patton at Voltz Clarke Gallery in New York City. The Louisiana-born Patton, trained in painting and photography, uses quilting, text, and video to explore the quickening pace of modern life. Influenced by social media and digital technology, she contrasts the wish to "rewind" to simpler times with the exhausting cycle of constant newness. Touching on aging, nostalgia, and mental health with humor, the show ultimately celebrates human connection and living in the moment.
