About

The Long, Long Trailer is a hilarious mix of romantic comedy, slapstick, and suspense. It was directed by Vincente Minnelli and stars Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, at the time the two most popular performers in the nation. They play Tacy and Nicky, an engaged couple who purchase a trailer so they can journey the country and play at domesticity before tying the knot. The film, their only major big-screen outing, comments on the comforts of postwar material culture with escalating madcap brilliance.
