About

"The Shape of Stillness: John Evans" is an exhibition of new paintings by John Evans at Gallery Henoch, with an opening reception with the artist on its first day. Evans, a landscape painter for more than four decades, distills landscapes, waterways, moonlit scenes, and botanical subjects into arrangements of color, shape, line, and pattern. The exhibition focuses on the balance between the observed world and abstraction, and the visual harmony he finds between the two. The reception is free and open to the public.
