About

An exhibition of paintings by Eric Aho at DC Moore Gallery. The show, titled "Eric Aho: The Meadow's Edge", centers on his Firefly paintings, made annually in tune with the short lifespans of fireflies to create a living record of each generation. Aho's paintings reflect an awareness of precarity and the power of painting to engage with light as a phenomenon and a metaphor. In the latest Firefly paintings, the creatures seem to dissolve into mist.
