Tape: Richard Linklater's drama about two friends.

«Tape» is a 2001 film by Richard Linklater. It tells of Jon, a young filmmaker who travels to Lansing, Michigan, to present his debut work at a local film festival. Vince, a high school friend who is now a volunteer firefighter and small-time drug dealer, comes to town to stand by Jon on his big day – or so it seems, because beneath the exuberant greeting a subtle tension begins to surface. Written by Stephen Belber, the film puts three people in one room and asks why cinema is always associated with wide camera perspectives.
