About
The collection is a permanent exhibition at the National Museum Zurich, presenting the Swiss National Museum's collections in the renovated historical west wing since October 2019. Across two floors and around 2,000 m², more than 7,000 exhibits showcase Swiss artistry and craftsmanship spanning roughly 1,000 years. Highlights include the 11th-century sacred palm donkey, the St. Gallen Globe, one of the largest surviving 16th-century globes, the Alice and Louis Koch ring collection, and recently restored period rooms from all over Switzerland. The objects and rooms are part of Switzerland's cultural and historical heritage, displaying the country's cultural diversity and history.
