A live concert featuring rarely played songs by Kurt Weill as part of the “FROLLEIN TUEASDAY TREASURES” series at Frollein Langner. The programme “KURT. DIE NACHT, DER LÄRM, DAS LIED” follows the traces of the Jewish composer, who fled Germany from the National Socialists and had to change his homeland, language and audience several times. Singer Melanie Schmidli and guitarist Martino Dessi perform songs from Berlin, Paris and the USA that tell of longing, love, exile and carrying on. With his guitar, Martino Dessi opens a sound space between jazz, chanson and film noir.
