In the former gatekeeper's house GATE TO in the courtyard of Alte Münze, Elma Riza presents the solo exhibition "Time melts even concrete", a series of screen prints. At its heart is the Hôtel du Lac in Tunis, a brutalist building by Raffaele Contigiani from the 1970s that is set to make way for a luxury hotel. The exhibition reflects on the gradual disappearance of iconic architecture and the traces it leaves behind, asking what is lost when buildings that shape their cities' identity are erased. Art is framed here as a form of remembrance.
