A memorial event for 9 November at the Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche in Kreuzberg, featuring a screening of the documentary „Des Vaters Schweigen“ („The Father’s Silence“) followed by a talk and music. It is organised by the Evangelische Kirchengemeinde vor dem Halleschen Tor. The film tells the story of Sylvia Salomon, who only learned a few years before her father’s death that he had survived the Holocaust. Afterwards the director Mariella Santibáñez Koref and the film’s protagonist Sylvia Salomon will talk about it, with music by Yael Gat and Ofer Löwinger and moderation by pastor Christina Biere.
