About
An exhibition at the Kulturhaus Schwartzsche Villa presents works by Isaac Chong Wai and Käthe Kollwitz as a duo presentation. The Berlin- and Hong Kong-based artist Isaac Chong Wai conducts a posthumous dialogue with Käthe Kollwitz, one of the most important German artists of the 20th century. At its centre are mothers and their fear of war with regard to their children, accompanied by questions of guilt, grief and anger. On view include three of Kollwitz's sculptures, among them the „Pietà“ (1937–38), Isaac Chong Wai's two-channel video installation „Die Mütter“ of 2022, as well as photographs.
