The exhibition "Men in Shades" brings together historical photographs, archival material, and contemporary works centred on a pair of sunglasses. It traces the object's changing meaning from the courtroom of the Nuremberg Trials to the worlds of photography, pop culture, fashion, and collection. At its heart is the paradox of an object that once protected its wearers from the very light that made them visible to the camera. Behind the show is Jonas Höschl, a conceptual artist and photographer who works with printmaking, sound, video, and installation.
