About
"Liebe? Krieg!" is a theatre comedy made up of two one-act plays by Anton Chekhov, "Der Bär" and "Der Heiratsantrag", celebrating its premiere. It is directed by the German-Iranian director Raman Allipur, with Lena Wendt, Nikolai Novikov and Martin Moeller performing. Three people fight over love: a visit becomes a duel and an argument suddenly turns into desire. Chekhov's characters mean every word completely seriously – from this comes the comedy of a fast-paced evening full of quarrels, longing and surprising twists.
