About

A talk with readings about the writer Dinah Nelken (1900–1989), who was born in Charlottenburg and is now largely forgotten. Nina Weller of the Leibniz Centre for Literary and Cultural Research gives the talk, while Julie Thiele and Roman Vetrov of the Berlin University of the Arts read texts by the author. The Heinrich-Schulz-Bibliothek is staging the series together with the Leibniz Centre and the acting programme of the Berlin University of the Arts. Nelken wrote novels, screenplays and feuilletons, lived for a time in the Berlin-Wilmersdorf artists' colony and returned to Berlin in 1950 after years of exile.
