About
An evening of live jazz by pianist, composer and producer Finn Rees, presented by the Brick Lane Jazz Festival at the venue 93 Feet East. Born in Tasmania and based in London, Rees has worked with projects such as 30/70, Close Counters and Seed Ensemble, and draws on influences from Alice Coltrane and Herbie Hancock to Arthur Verocai and Azymuth. His debut record 'Dawn Is A Melody', released on Mr Bongo in 2024, blends modal and spiritual jazz, psychedelic soul, orchestral arrangements and heartfelt piano, performed here with some of Melbourne's finest musicians. The show forms part of Brick Lane Sound, the festival's year-round event series, and is for ages 18 and over.
