About

Frida: The Making of an Icon is an exhibition about the artist Frida Kahlo and how she became an influential artist and a global commercial icon. Organised by the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston in collaboration with Tate Modern, it shows over 30 of her works alongside garments, photographs and memorabilia, plus over 200 works by her contemporaries and later artists she inspired. It ends with 'Fridamania', displaying more than 200 commercial objects showing her transformation into a global brand.
