About
This is a talk at Tate Britain called 'The Lives of Artists', part of the event series 'Vanessa Bell & Duncan Grant'. Thomas Kennedy, curator of Modern British Art at Tate Britain, is joined by Dr Darren Clarke of Charleston, and art historians Dr Sophie Pickford and Dr Jon King. They reflect on the five-decade creative partnership between Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant, members of the Bloomsbury Group and among the most influential British artists of the 20th century, considering their radical approach to domesticity in their modernist home and the significance of their collaboration and individual practices, which reshaped art, literature and societal thought in Britain.
