The gallery exhibition "Kate Berry Brown: Holding Form" shows new drawings on paper by Kate Berry Brown at Ricco/Maresca Gallery. Brown returns to work on paper after years devoted largely to carved wood and paper sculpture, building each form through dense accumulations of colored pencil and ink. She thinks of the works as portraits, individual presences hovering between body, object, architecture, and abstraction, their swelling contours suggesting vessels organized around an unseen interior. The show runs in Gallery One, in person and online, alongside Leopold Strobl's exhibition in Gallery Two.
