Liam Gillick – The Case is Altered or Die Sache ist anders
Galerie Eva Presenhuber, Altstadt
About
“The Case is Altered or Die Sache ist anders” is a solo exhibition at Galerie Eva Presenhuber on Waldmannstrasse in Zurich. Behind it is the British-American artist Liam Gillick; it is the artist's sixth solo show with this gallery. At its center is a new, expanded version of his performance “Mirrored Image: A Volvo Bar,” drawing on Ben Jonson's 1609 comedy “The Case is Altered.” Also shown are pen-and-ink drawings on gessoboard, small sculptures, and new mirror works in which visitors see themselves as sharply outlined performers.
