About
The Busoni-Kompositionspreis 2026 is awarded at a prize ceremony with a concert to the South African composer Njabulo Phungula; a promotional prize goes to the Lebanese composer Raphaëlle Aoun. The prize was founded in 1988 by Aribert Reimann and is given every two to three years to young composers for especially high-quality and novel compositional approaches. With the award, the Akademie der Künste supports up-and-coming composers. The programme features works by both prize winners as well as compositions by Ferrucio Busoni, performed by ensemble mosaik.
