About
This pop-up exhibition covers 130 square metres in the atrium of the Europa Center and is devoted to the Romanisches Café and Berlin of the 1920s. It is run by KulturGut, owner Katja Baumeister-Frenzel, and revives the legendary artists' café at its original site, together with its guests and the up-and-coming New West around the Gedächtniskirche. A central experience room presents café and clientele in painting, graphics, press, literature and music, with some objects on public display for the first time. A timeline places the Romanisches Haus II and its surroundings in context, and the show serves as a place of experience, learning and remembrance.
